Like Mother, Like Son

Much to Jeff's chagrin, I will turn my kid into a reader!! Here he is reading his Bible storybook in cousin Tyler's old Star Wars chair. (I know I'm ridiculously biased, but I just can't get enough of that little face!)

Memorial Weekend

We were lucky enough to get a visit from Marmie and Daddoo over Memorial Day weekend! We had a fantastic time and were able to spend a lot of time with family and friends. Here is a mish-mosh of photos from our weekend:

Playing at the park with Marmie.
Maddox's first introduction to the IPod.
Playing at Gymboree

Looking at fountains with Marmie and Daddoo.

Jeff is a little obsessed with Grandma K's white cake
Playing chalk with Aunt Alicia
It's hard to see, but if you click on the picture, it might enlarge. Graydon (Erin's boyfriend) taught Maddox how to draw on his own face with yellow chalk. Thanks, Graydon!

Relaxing with Aunt Alicia and Pappaw

Personal Training Open House

Jeff has been working hard to set up his sports and fitness training center out in Norco. Last Saturday, he hosted an Open House at his gym. We had a good turn out and it was quite a success!
Jenny and Kelly making signs in Jeff's office. The guys were able to get the whole gym cleaned in the time we made about two and a half signs. I guess we were talking a little more than working.
Mad Dog loves to play with the medicine balls at the gym.
Cal State Fullerton colors! Go Titans!!

Jeff's office has a window that looks right out onto the workout floor.

Jeff took a bunch of Open House guests through a workout.

After the Open House, we celebrated with Jerry and Kelly and Tanu and Ian (above) at Yogurtland (where else?!)!

Mad and Jax

Becky and I took MadMan and Jaxon to the park by our house to feed the ducks and play in the sand. The boys had a great time, but I think the ducks were disappointed. No matter how much Becky and I encouraged the boys to throw the bread to the ducks, they both saw it as their own snack.

We Are Home

Okay, we are home and I am back to blogging. Thank you very much to all of you who have expressed sympathy and concern for our family over Lauren's death. We are all heartbroken. Lauren was a beautiful little girl with a heart of gold. For the first time, she is now whole. She is running, giggling and singing! I thank God for the two precious years we got to have her. Please continue your prayers, especially for Mandy and Ted. A parent can never fully heal from the loss of their baby, but God has promised peace that passes all understanding.

Jeff, Maddox and I are home from Oregon, and fully moved in to our old house. We love worshipping at Canyon again and getting to spend time with all our friends and family. Happy to be back to blogging!
